Mary Kay Robinson has been described as ”a hugely talented soloist, dazzling virtuosity”. She has concertized throughout the world on Flute and Piccolo and recorded to great acclaim. She is an active soloist, orchestral and chamber musician, teacher and coach throughout the United States.  She has performed, toured and recorded with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony, Detroit Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, New Hampshire Music Festival Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Jazz Orchestra.  She founded the award winning Panorámicos mixed chamber ensemble, whose recordings have earned “Top pick of North America”- Gramophone Magazine. She is a uniquely versatile flutist and musician, who performs on all the instruments in the flute family, as well as all genres of music.

 

Musician

As a chamber musician and new music advocate, Mary Kay has collaborated with many distinguished artists and composers in the New Hampshire Music Festival, Music from Angel Fire, ChamberFest Cleveland, the Grand Teton Festival, colleagues from the Cleveland Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Boston Pops, Columbus Symphony, Kronos Quartet, Dog Cove Quartet, Amici Quartet, the Cleveland Institute of Music, Oberlin Conservatory and Ithaca College. She is a member of the Grammy Award winning Cleveland Chamber Symphony and has championed the music of Cleveland area composers.
